The Kennel Club asks all breed clubs to help and support Open shows and this is one that our club sponsors. It's a Premier Open and, whilst the classes are mixed (i.e. dogs and bitches in together), it's still an enjoyable day out. The winners in the Podengos were:

In what the judge, Ben Reynolds-Frost, believes is a first for him, it was the veterans who scooped the honours. Mac won Veteran Dog and Best Dog with Odee doing the same in the bitches. After a long, long gap since Crufts in March 2020, Podengos were back in the ring and it was the Morialta pack with Simon and Anna Sampson who took most of the honours. Well done to you folks! A few dogs (and several people) seemed a bit rusty after the long lay-off but it was great to be back showing and the weather defied the forecasts to stay sunny for most of the day. Due to the ongoing issues around how and when the country will come out of lockdown, we have decided to cancel the 2021 Club Show. 

It is highly unlikely that we would be able to run the show without major restrictions, if at all, by April. Trying to re-arrange it for later in the year is still subject to many uncertainties so we have decided to cancel the event all together and focus on arranging the next show in April 2022.

It is very unfortunate that we, as well as many other dog clubs, have had to take this decision. However, the health and safety of all attendees is our upmost priority and in the context of the coronavirus pandemic, our show is insignificant compared to the loss and damage the pandemic has caused.

In the meantime, the Officers and Committee of the PPCGB would like to wish everyone the very best and hope that you and your families remain safe. And please remember: hands - face - space.
